What instruments are used for high temperature measurements?
Various instruments are employed for high temperature measurements in catalytic processes. Thermocouples are commonly used due to their wide temperature range and fast response time. Infrared (IR) pyrometers are non-contact devices that measure the thermal radiation emitted by an object, making them ideal for high temperature applications. Resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) and thermistors are also used but are generally limited to lower temperature ranges compared to thermocouples and IR pyrometers.
