While immensely powerful, solid state NMR also has limitations:
- Sensitivity: It is generally less sensitive compared to liquid-state NMR, requiring longer acquisition times or advanced techniques like DNP. - Complexity: Interpretation of spectra can be complicated due to overlapping signals and broad lines. - Sample Preparation: Requires careful preparation to ensure homogeneity and reproducibility.
