Catalytic antioxidants are a class of compounds that facilitate the breakdown or neutralization of reactive oxygen species (ROS) through a catalytic cycle. Unlike conventional antioxidants, which are consumed in the process of neutralizing free radicals, catalytic antioxidants regenerate themselves and can continue to neutralize multiple ROS molecules.
