CC BY, or Creative Commons Attribution, is one of the licenses offered by Creative Commons. It allows others to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the work, even commercially, as long as they credit the original creation. This is the most accommodating of licenses offered, in terms of what others can do with the works licensed under it.
