Selectivity: Achieving high selectivity towards C2 products is difficult because the same conditions that activate methane also promote the complete oxidation to CO2. Conversion: High methane conversion rates often lead to lower selectivity for desired products. Catalyst Stability: Maintaining catalyst activity and selectivity over prolonged periods is challenging due to potential sintering and deactivation.
