The SPE process generally involves four main steps: conditioning, sample loading, washing, and elution. During the conditioning step, the solid phase material is prepared to interact effectively with the sample. The sample is then loaded onto the solid phase, where analytes are retained based on their affinity to the material. In the washing step, unwanted components are removed. Finally, the desired analytes are eluted using an appropriate solvent.
