Can We Have Both High Accuracy and High Efficiency?
Achieving both high accuracy and high efficiency in catalysis is challenging but not impossible. Often, a trade-off exists where enhancing one can compromise the other. For example, a highly accurate catalyst with excellent selectivity might operate at a slower rate, reducing efficiency. Conversely, a highly efficient catalyst might produce more by-products, reducing accuracy. Advanced catalyst design and optimization techniques, such as computational modeling and machine learning, are increasingly being used to balance these two parameters.
