surface area for mass transfer, enhancing the
efficiency of the catalytic process.
What Are the Alternatives to Bubble Caps?
While bubble caps are widely used, there are alternative technologies for vapor-liquid contact in catalytic processes, such as
sieve trays and
valve trays. Each has its own set of advantages and limitations. Sieve trays, for example, offer lower pressure drops, while valve trays can handle larger variations in flow rates.
