The Suzuki Reaction was discovered by Akira Suzuki and his team in the late 1970s. Suzuki, along with Richard F. Heck and Ei-ichi Negishi, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2010 for the development of palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions.
