The Paris Agreement is an international climate accord adopted in 2015 during the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It aims to limit global warming to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, with efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C.
