What Challenges Exist in Photosensitive Catalysis?
Despite its potential, photosensitive catalysis faces several challenges. One major issue is the recombination of electron-hole pairs, which reduces the efficiency of the catalytic process. Another challenge is the limited absorption spectrum of many photocatalysts, which restricts their use to specific wavelengths of light. Enhancing the stability and durability of photocatalysts under prolonged light exposure is also critical.
