A variety of catalysts can be employed to enhance the efficiency of ODS. These include metal oxides (e.g., MoO₃, TiO₂), heteropoly acids, and zeolites. These catalysts can be supported on various materials to increase surface area and improve dispersion. Transition metal complexes and enzyme-based catalysts have also been investigated for their potential in ODS.
