There are two main types of ICP Spectroscopy: ICP-Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) and ICP-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS).
ICP-OES measures the light emitted by excited atoms and ions at specific wavelengths. ICP-MS provides higher sensitivity and can detect elements at lower concentrations by measuring the mass-to-charge ratio of ions.
