What is Applied Catalysis?

Types of Catalysts

Advantages of Catalysis

Challenges in Applied Catalysis

Despite its advantages, applied catalysis faces several challenges. Research is focused on discovering new catalytic materials, such as nanocatalysts and biocatalysts, which offer enhanced properties compared to traditional catalysts. Advances in computational chemistry and machine learning are also accelerating the design and optimization of catalysts. Moreover, there is a growing emphasis on utilizing renewable feedstocks and green chemistry principles to minimize the environmental impact of catalytic processes.
